The long awaited Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is still not available. But rumors are saying that it might be available very soon. It could very well be launched within the next few days.

There have been no speculated dates for 4.4.3's release until now. However, a source from Android Geeks said that Google is already planning to roll out the latest update on May 23 for its own gadgets, namely the Google Nexus 4, 5, 7, and 10. This means that the recently produced Google devices will be the first to be updated by the end of this month if plans push through, followed by Google Play edition devices.

Google's silence regarding the much-awaited 4.4.3 update left many users confused as they closely watched and anticipated the new update which would solve numerous issues the Android 4.4.2 KitKat did not fix after its release back in November. Android 4.4.3 is believed to come with solutions to more than 30 bugs that users have been complaining about. Some of these issues include random reboots, unstable data connections, LED problems, and VPN fixes to name a few.

The update is also believed to come earlier for Samsung users whose devices run on 4.2.2 including the higher end mobile devices Galaxy S5, S4, S3, Note 3 and 2. These models by the Korean company are said to altogether skip the 4.4.2 update and update directly to the latest version of KitKat. Several other models by HTC, Sony Xperia, and Motorola are believed to receive the update as well.

While the rumors alleging a release on May 23 have been going on for some time now, that does not necessarily mean that it will happen. It remains a rumor until the tech giant makes an official announcement. The release date could still be subject to internal testing. Users can only take comfort in the fact that the release is nearer than it was before.
