George Michael dies at 53, mother and partner's loss allegedly contributed to unexplained but not suspicious death
News about George Michael's death flooded the social media and news platforms since it was reported. The famous musician's death was noted to be 2 pm Christmas day.
An official statement released by the Thames police officers after responding to a call on Goring-on-Thames, Michael's residence said that the death is unexplained but not suspicious. A statement from the Michael Lippman, his manager, however, said that he died of heart failure.
In a Tweeter post, Fadi Fawaz, George Michael's present partner stated how unforgettable this Christmas is to him finding his partner first thing in the morning dead peacefully, according to The USA Today.
George Michael fans and fellow artists showed their grief over his death and sent condolences to the family. The family, on the other hand, asked for privacy facing this emotional and difficult time.
In 2011, George Michael was hospitalized with severe pneumonia on one of his tours. His family and his friends lead by his Fade Fawaz did an emotional bedside everyday vigil for the Wham superstar's recovery which later came to pass.
George Michael admitted in an interview that he formerly suffered deep depression. The battle was caused by him losing his mother a few years after losing Anselmo Feleppa, his long-time partner over AIDS, as reported by The Telegraph.
Michael also mentioned in the said interview that it was for the love of his mother that he had to hide his homosexuality for so long. During that time, AIDS have been taking its time taking people's lives and he loved his mother so much that he did not want her to worry about him catching the said illness.
