Recent reports reveal the supposed roadmap that shows the smartphone launch plans of the company Meizu has been leaked into the internet The leaked roadmap shows the timeframe planned for each smartphone release as well as the SoC for all the big launches that the company will have in the year 2017.

Upcoming Meizu Smartphones In 2017

According to VR-Zone, Meizu will be releasing the M5S model as the first launch of the year 2017. The phone has been recently identified on the websites such as TENAA and CCC. The M5S model will run on the latest MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor SoC that offers a processing speed of 1.3 GHz. The company is planning to launch its next flagship device named Pro7 in the month of June 2017. This flagship smartphone is expected to be powered by the Media Tek Helio X30 SoC processor that will be manufactured using the 10nm process technology.

The reports also say that the company will be launching the Meizu Blue Charm S smartphone that will supposedly be sporting the MediaTek Helio P25 octa-core chipset, which is built on the ARM Cortex-A53 architecture and manufactured using 16nm process technology.Meizu is also expected to launch the MX7 flagship device in the month of September. This smartphone will be equipped with the MediaTek Helio P30 octa-core SoC processor built using the similar ARMcortex A-72 architecture and 10nm process technology. The Meizu M6 Note is expected to be out in October 2017. The smartphone will run on the MediaTek Helio P20 processor chipset.

Meizu To Bring Qualcomm Processor Powered Flagship In 2017

Based on the leaked roadmap, the final flagship device from Meizu that is expected to make its debut in the year 2017, will be the Meizu Blue Charm M. Unlike other smartphones mentioned earlier this phone will be powered by aQualcomm Snapdragon 626 octa-core chipset, that was recently launched in October 2016. It is notable that a similar roadmap got leaked for the year 2016 a year ago which came out to be mostly accurate. However, users are expected obviously to take the news with a pinch of salt as the rumors have not yet been officially confirmed.

Has Qualcomm And Media Tek Come To An Agreement?

GSMarena reported that the use of Qualcomm processors came as a big surprise of the year. Meizu plans on using the Qualcomm processor for its upcoming smartphone in the final quarter of 2017. This indicates that the two companies have finally come to a consensus on a settlement for the patent infringement combat between Qualcomm and Media Tek. If the rumors are true, the smartphone makers must have negotiated a license agreement with Qualcomm that allows equipping more Meizu Smartphones with the Snapdragon processor from late 2017.

Thus, the roadmap leak shows that Chinese Smartphone maker, Meizu is bringing a year of surprises to its users with a number of new flagship launches.
