Russell Westbrook Earns Another Technical Foul After Accidentally Pegging Ref In Head With Ball
The NBA is getting really hectic these days when it comes to supervising each game and ensuring that everything goes on smoothly. But as rough of a sport that basketball is, there will always be a lot of cases where a game doesn't go according to plan.

A foul is a natural thing in the game of basketball; every player commits a foul on another player every here and there. But when you commit a foul to an official, particularly a referee, things can go awkward.
That's what happened to Thunder star Russell Westbrook, as he was issued a technical foul after pegging a referee in the head with a ball.

According to CBSSports, the NBA recently revoked two of Russell Westbrook's 11 total technical fouls this season, bringing it down to nine. However, he quickly brought it up to 10 again after he inadvertently hit an NBA official with the ball in the first quarter against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
Wanting to pass the ball to referee Tre Maddox as he headed into a timeout, Westbrook accidentally hit the veteran ref right in the head. Though Westbrook apologized immediately for the incident, another official already whistled the Thunder guard for a technical

In their review of this alleged technical foul, the league may opt towards rescinding this one as well, especially since Westbrook did apologize immediately and didn't actually have any intentions to hit Maddox. Plus Westbrook apologized again in a break in play during the second quarter of the same game.
But for now, the technical stands and according to ChatSports, Westbrook is currently tied with Kings Center DeMarcus Cousins for the most technical fouls in the league this season with 10. Six more techs and Westbrook will reach the technical foul limit and will get suspended for a game.
