Last week's rumor that a new Samsung Galaxy S5 "Active" for AT&T was in the works looks to possibly be a reality since a leaked video showcasing the upcoming smartphone surfaced on the Internet.

The leaked video, reportedly posted to YouTube by TK Teck News, showcases the alleged new GS5 Active. In the video, we see that the device includes a ruggedized body and similar navigations as the GS4 Active.

Samsung's current Active series prides itself on creating durable smart phones that are able to withstand extreme on-the-go activity. CNET reports that the GS5 Active's predecessor, the Galaxy S4 Active, "is a reinforced, waterproof, splash-proof phone for sporting types, designed to be taken out on adrenaline-pumping, danger-laced extreme activities like swimming, snowboarding and music festivals."

By the looks of the TK Teck leaked video, the GS5 Active will do all that and more.

According to Engadget, "TK swears that the device is using a greater-than-1080p screen." The phone also includes a removable back cover and heart rate sensor that can also be found on the Galaxy S5.

The video walks us through the device booting up and we're quickly greeted by a splash screen that reads "Samsung Galaxy S5 Active." Next up comes the AT&T screen.

The GS5 Active's about phone screen and its model number, SM-G870A, are also featured in the video and we see that the device runs Android 4.4.2 beneath Samsung's TouchWiz UI. Finally, we can see that there are some preloaded AT&T apps on the device's home screen.

Despite the semi-detailed video with the alleged phone, nothing has been confirmed yet, so don't get too excited, folks.

So far, what has been confirmed is that Samsung will release the Galaxy S5 Prime in the fall.
