Liza Minnelli won't be making her way through Europe this summer.

The 68-year-old singer has had to cancel 14 concerts in France, London and other locations because of an illness, said the Daily Star.

A statement on her website explained the situation.

"Liza Minnelli's physicians have advised her not to perform or travel for long periods of time because of a medical condition," the statement said. "As a result, her concerts in Europe, which were scheduled for July, have been cancelled. We are discussing rescheduling dates at an appropriate time. Liza wants her fans to know she is devastated not to be able to perform right now but will see them soon."

Minnelli is resting in her New York City home, but there are no more details about her health.

Earlier this month, Liza Minnelli performed at Bemelmans Bar. She arrived with Michael Feinstein, Clint Holmes, Billy Stritch and Jim Caruso.

A source said, "Liza and Michael joined Billy and Jim to play a couple of numbers, including 'I Love a Violin,' written by Liza's godmother, Kay Thompson."

Earlier this month, she also joined Cyndi Lauper on stage. She and Rosie O'Donnell were invited to sing backup for Lauper at her May 9 concert. They joined her for "Girls Just Want to Have Fun."

To those in London, it might feel as though Liza Minnelli was just there.

"Somewhere Under the Rainbow," a play based on Liza Minnelli ran until May 17 at Landor Theater, with Sharon Sexton starring as Minnelli.

The show follows Minnelli's ambition to get to the top, and the show takes place in Minnelli's dressing room, where she goes from character to character. It focused on both her highs and her lows. It was the first time the show was shown in London.
