It was announced today that Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham would have a fall release.

In a trailer just over a minute long, Batman finds himself in space mid-though when he's interrupted by Superman. Then, he's interrupted by Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Flash and others. The part-puzzle, part-combat game will be available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS Vita, PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, Wii U, Nintendo 3Ds and Windows. With this game, players have the ability to control Batman, Robin, members of the Justice League and the Legion of Doom, Polygon said.

A total of 150 characters can be chosen.

"There's a lot more variety than we've previously had with the Lego Batman games," game director Arthur Parsons said. "We are doing space combat, races, virtual reality missions, platforming, RPG elements. Characters are always going to be changing and upgrading. It just keeps kids engaged."

Brainiac starts wreaking havoc, and Batman starts looking for the Legion of Doom. The two groups eventually realize they will have to work together to take down Brainiac.

The first Lego Batman was about Batman and Robin. The second installment had Batman team up with the justice League, and now the third will have bigger involvement from the Legion of Doom.

There's also a lot of variety when it comes to customizing your character.

"You're not going to be playing Batman and Robin in every level," Parsons said. "You're going to be playing Wonder Woman, Solomon Grundy, Flash. We build them into the character. As you progress through the game and unlock various Batman suits, Robin suits, Joker suits, whatever, you've got access to all those cool abilities, and you can go and do all kinds of crazy stuff with them but without having to find suit signals. It just makes for a more dynamic experience. It's right for this game."
