"This is Us" Season 1 rose in terms of Live +3, Same Day, household ratings, and the total number of viewers overall despite of the Grammys. "Atlanta" star Brian Tyree Henry will guest star in the upcoming episode. Also, NBC Television Network has officially released the plot synopsis and promo trailer clip for episode 16 titled as "Memphis".

Even though the Grammy Awards dominated the TV screen from February 6 to 12, "This is Us" remained on top of the game. According to TV by the Numbers, "This is Us" Season 1 together with "Big Bang Theory" Season 10 experienced an uptick from 3.0 to 4.5 in the Live +3 18-49 demographic.

Furthermore, the series received 1.9 and 73% in the Live + Same Day rating.

Atlanta" star Brian Tyree Henry has officially landed a guest role in the upcoming episode of "This is Us". The American actor will play the role of Ricky.

With that being said, Henry described his guest character as, "We meet my character Ricky in an episode that will delve into William's past. Ricky is William's cousin and a huge supporter of his artistic talent. At one point in their lives, they were in the same band, and throughout the said episode, we will see the evolution of their relationship as cousins."

Ricky happens to be the cousin of William (Jermel Nakia), the younger version Entertainment Weekly has learned.

As for the official plot synopsis of episode 16, Spoilers Guide notes, "Randall Pearson (Sterling K. Brown) and William Hill (Ron Cephas Jones) take a road trip to Memphis, where Randall learns about the past of his biological father."

"This is Us" Season 1 episode 16 is titled as "Memphis". The forthcoming episode is slated to premiere on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT first and exclusive on NBC Television Network.
