HTC U Ultra India Launch Set For February 21
HTC is expected to launch their first U series U Ultra smartphone in the Indian Market this week. The smartphone maker has sent out press invites for the event, which is scheduled for 21st February. The invite clearly mentions the launch of the new flagship smartphone for the Indian market.
According to Gizbot, the device might be available in the country by next month. Well, it is not sure, though, until HTC reveals an official statement in the event. Furthermore, there is mention that which version will be making its first entry in India. Hence assumption is made that Indian smartphone space will see all the color variants of the U Ultra.
As per IndianExpress, the U Ultra comes with a narrow 2-inches touchscreen with 160x1040 pixel at the top of the smartphone, just above the main screen which is 5.7-inches with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. The second display can be customized to provide shortcuts for contacts or apps, even reminders, and event notification too. The second screen is designed to work with HTC's Sense Companion software, which used artificial intelligence to understand more about users and their needs.
The HTC U Ultra has the curved body and comes in a choice of four colors: black, white, blue and pink. The phone has built-in four microphones which are always on. Users can also navigate their phones to take or reject calls using voice commands. The microphones can be used to record 360-degree audio.
The U line-up also comes with a new design, HTC calls it the liquid design and it essentially consists of glass and metal that boasts of an all-around symmetrical bending that reflects light differently when viewed at an angle.
The U Ultra smartphone has a 2K Super LCD 5 screen. It also gets Corning's new Gorilla Glass 5. The U play, on the other hand, has a 1080p screen. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor clubbed with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal memory. It features a 12-megapixel (UltraPixel) camera with f/.1.8 aperture, OIS, PDAF and a dual-tone flash. The phone runs Android Nougat and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
