"Castlevania" Season 1 is coming to Netflix anytime soon this year. The upcoming show will be R - Rated and the official plot description
According to IGN, "Power Ranger" movie producer Adi Shankar has officially announced via Facebook that he will be producing a Castlevania animated series for Netflix.The show will adapt the franchise's "Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse" game. It will star Trevor Belmont, the last of his clan.
As for the official plot synopsis of "Castlevania" Season 1, CBR notes, "Inspired by the classic video game series, Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe himself.
The animated series is from Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company, written by best-selling author and comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Warren Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar."
Shankar is known for working on projects that are violent and gritty. He claims that this will be the "western world's first good video game adaptation." Granted, that's not the loftiest of claims to make.
The title as of now is "Castlevania Season 1: Part 1". The series writer is acclaimed comic book authorWarren Ellis, and the show's producer is aiming for a super violent hard-hitting anime approach
."Castlevania" Season 1 is set to launch in the latter months of 2017. Shankar also confirmed that Season 2 will arrive in 2018. The upcoming TV series is R- Rated.
The animated series will be written by comic book writer Warren Ellis, known for "Red" and "Transmetropolitan". "Adventure Time's" Kevin Kolde will also be involved, but it's uncertain to what extent. The Facebook post by Shankar suggests that Kolde was the one who was able to get Netflix to agree.
