After her breakout role in the "Twilight" film franchise, Kristen Stewart has moved out of her shell as a teeny bopper and had been accepting more mature roles in movies like "Equals," "Cafe Society" and "Clouds Of Sils Maria."

While most of her fans are still hoping for a reunion movie with ex-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, it seems like it won't happen anytime soon as the 26-year old is in negotiations with a new movie project.

According to Deadline, Kristen Stewart is reportedly in final negotiation with 20th Century Fox and Chermin Entertainment to star in a movie with working title "Underwater." The contracts and details for the movie are reportedly being ironed out as the movie production is expected to start next month.

The possible new Kristen Stewart movie will be directed by William Eubank and will have a storyline that centers on an underwater scientific crew who experiences life-threatening circumstances when a big earthquake happens while they are on duty.

Kristen Stewart will play the role of Norah, a strong-willed, alpha female who is considered to lead the group of scientists. There will also be a romantic side of the story as Norah falls in love with a fellow scientist.

According to Cinema Blend, Kristen Stewart's new movie has been popularly described as an underwater "Armageddon." It can be noted that after "Twilight," her role in "Snow White And The Huntsman" is considered to be the most mainstream work of Kristen Stewart, with her next projects falling on the indie or low-budget side. With that in mind, movie buffs are excited to see Kristen Stewart back to star in the mainstream movie, "Underwater."

Kristen Stewart have yet to give an official statement on whether the actress will join the "Underwater" movie cast.

"Underwater" is written by Brian Duffield with a revision by Adam Cozad.
