NBA News: Cleveland Cavaliers Could Equal Warriors With New Additions: Deron Williams And Andrew Bogut
The Cleveland Cavaliers are mostly going to have a backup playmaker in their team rather than trading Iman Shumpert for Patrick Beverley at Thursday's deadline. The Dallas Mavericks also in a shocker move waived Deron Williams on Thursday who was a former No. 3 pick.
According to some fresh reports, Andrew Bogut is also expected to side with Cleveland Cavaliers after negotiating a buyout deal with Philadelphia. This could lead to some fine changes in the LeBron James' squad and will further put them in good shape for a Finals rematch against the Golden State Warriors. Chris Broussard has theorized in the recent talks with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe about the way in which things will get even for Cleveland and warriors after the former adds the two players in its squad reports, internationalnewslive.
According to Chris Broussard, Deron Williams will act as a superb Backup point guard as he is not in his best form right now. Though he agrees that Deron was one of the best point guard other than Chris Paul in the past, but now Williams will have to prove himself again when he gets the chance. Chris mentioned that the combination of both these players will provide Cleveland with a much better depth than the Golden State.
He also thinks that it puts LeBron James in a good position to win this title as it looks like he has all he needs to win it with these two amazing additions. As far as LeBron's clutch credentials are in question, Chris defends the player by stating that he has been shooting a better percentage this season when compared to players like Kevin Durant and Steph Curry reports, Fox Sports.
All these speculations and news, if gone right, then Broussard's theory will definitely prove right as the Cleveland Cavaliers will benefit a lot from Williams and Bogut and might end up giving a tough fight to the Warriors in this year's Finals. Now the question arises for the Golden State, as it is doubtful that they have enough supporting players to make it through the 82 game slog of this regular season. They will also have to face the four round war of the playoffs which might prove difficult if they lack the required strength.
