Nightwing movie confirmed to be on its way and Chris McKay will be directing the upcoming standalone DC film. As Warner Bros. is now looking on how to expand the DC Extended Universe, fans of Dick Grayson is now celebrating as his character is finally receiving such attentions. So, here's the proposed actors who can lead the role of Nightwing.

A little bit information about people who doesn't know who Nightwing is, Dick Grayson was once a sidekick of Bruce Wayne. But the two had an argument and Grayson off to somewhere and became "Nightwing" - the crime-fighting vigilante in Bludhaven. Grayson is just a capeless version of Batman in another city and sometimes replace Bruce Wayne as the Batman if he's unable for some reasons.

Chris McKay is officially one of the most renowned directors to direct the Nightwing movie, as he is capable of pulling off the live-action Batman. McKay wanted to make the story of Nightwing to be compelling and engaging just like the original comic stories. He planned to make it an interesting, action-packed, and intriguing character movie, CinemaBlend has reported.

The director wanted to tell the fans of Nightwing that the helming of the movie is in good hands. Meanwhile, there are already proposed character who might be able to pull off the character of Dick Grayson in Nightwing movie. First was Steven Yeun of "The Walking Dead," second is Steven R. McQueen. Also, the name of Zac Effron was brought up to also lead the movie, as a fan art went viral indicating the face of Effron. Not bad, Cosmic Booknews has reported. 

Meanwhile, the most controversial actor suggests to play as Nightwing and further provided information that he might be the Batman. Armie Hammer is one of the most leading actors who has a big chance in playing Dick Grayson and reportedly to take over the role of Batman from Ben Affleck.

Affleck is taking the version of gray-haired, frizzled veteran crime fighting Batman. So, the first standalone Batman movie might see Affleck's passing the cape and responsibilities to Nightwing. As mentioned above, several instances that Nightwing sometimes replace Batman is he's unable to do so.

So, might instead of killing Batman on the movie, let's take the theory of passing the mantle to Nightwing. But remember that all of the information provided were all just a rumors and not confirmed yet, these should take with a grain of salt.
