‘FIFA 17’ Update: BT Sport to Broadcast FUT Championship Series this March 2017
"FIFA 17" game matches will soon be broadcast live on television. BT Sport has recently announced that they had won the rights to air the four EA FIFA Majors in the FUT championship series.
Fans have always been fascinated by the competitive interactive football game. Green is delighted to showcase a live broadcast of "FIFA 17" for the first time in the United Kingdom.
According to Mirror starting on March 2017, the four EA FIFA Majors will be screened. The North American regional final will be in Vancouver on April 8. For Season Two Asia-Pacific regional final, it will be on April 22 in Singapore. The Season Two European Regional Final will be in Madrid on May 6. The "FIFA 17" Ultimate Team Championship will be on May 20 and 21 in Berlin. More clubs have joined "FIA 17" including Ajax, Galatasaray, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Sporting Lisbon and Valencia.
Todd Sitrin, senior vice president and general manager of the EA's Competitive Gaming Division is equally delighted. "We're thrilled to be partnering with BT Sport to make our exciting competitions for EA Sports FIFA," he said. To achieve mainstream success, the game needs to accomplish accessibility. "FIFA 17" is considered as the most popular game in the United Kingdom.
Sitrin is pleased that as the eSports industry move forward and the audience became more accepting, "FIFA 17" is available across the nation.
Competing on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles, players of "FIFA 17" will vie for the world title as fans eagerly watch the virtual football on the small screen. "This is yet another example of live innovation from BT Sport," Simon Green, head of BT Sport said in a report by The Guardian.
Aside from the fun players get to experience, winner of the "FIFA 17" Ultimate Team Championship will get the chance to win $163,000. Runner up will take home the price of $81,500.
