Producer Zack Snyder is preparing for the release of "Aquaman" late next year. He released a teaser footage of Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis and what he looks like underwater in the film.

Fans already know what that "Game of Thrones" star Jason Momoa would look like as Aquaman but the teaser footage reveals a first look at the villain Ocean Master (played by Patrick Wilson). The teaser clip was released by Snyder on his official Twitter account this week and on the day of his birthday.

According to IGN, the "Aquaman" footage revealed what Atlantis would look like with corals and fishes in the background. It showed Jason Momoa swimming up to someone ensconced on a throne holding some sort of trident.

It is not currently known who the man with the trident is and the brief footage only gave a few hints. There was no sound in the "Aquaman" teaser as well. The outlet adds that the clip may have been taken straight out of the editing room as it was being edited to prepare it for its October 5, 2018 release.

The synopsis for "Aquaman" provides some insight to what the movie will be about. Comic Book reports that the movie will center on Jason Momoa's character being a hesitant King of the Atlantis. It looks like the man with the trident may be the character's father after all.

Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson's characters will be joined by Nicole Kidman who will play Atlanna, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Temuera Morrison as Thomas Curry. Amber Heard will also be in "Aquaman" to play Mera while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will play Black Manta.

"Aquaman" is directed by James Wan with executive producer Rob Cowan. It is produced by Zack Snyder, Peter Safran, Deborah Snyder and Geoff Johns which is based on the screenplay by Will Beall.
