‘The Vampire Diaries’ Stars Ian Somerhalder And Paul Wesley Wants To Close This Chapter In Their Lives
"The Vampire Diaries" is nearing its end and Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley talked about their plans after the show. The two men have been working on "The Vampire Diaries" for eight seasons making it a major part of their lives. When asked if they want to shoot a revival of the vampire/romance TV series, both were quick to say that they want to close this chapter of their lives.
Somerhalder and Wesley, the Salvatore brothers in "The Vampire Diaries" shot down hopes for a revival, Spoilers Guide reported. Paul said that he wanted to close the chapter (pertaining to his role in the series). Ian said that he plans to own a ranch in Wyoming in ten years and joked that no one will ever hear from him again. Somerhalder added that there was something about closure that's beautiful and it's good to close this chapter.
Damon Salvatore said that it would be great to watch it again because the series will never be able to die; pertaining to easy access of videos in the modern world, Just Jared reported. Stefan Salvatore seconded his brother and added that it would be hilarious if they did a reboot of "The Vampire Diaries" and they would be very old.
Unknown to many, Somerhalder and Wesley are not just actors in the series but have also directed a few episodes. One episode that Paul Wesley recently worked on was episode 6 of season 8 "Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path to Hell." Episode 8 of season 8 "We Have History Together" was directed by Ian Somerhalder.
"The Vampire Diaries" season eight started in October 2016 took the usual mid-season break in December 2016 and returned January 2017. The latest episode is season 8; episode 15 entitled "We're Planning a June Wedding" will be aired on March 3, 2017. The series finale is episode 16 entitled "I Was Feeling Epic." This much-awaited episode will air on March 10, 2017 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
