'Marvel's The Inhumans' Gets Black Bolt And Maximus To Join The Cast For The Upcoming ABC TV Series
The upcoming ABC series "Marvel's The Inhumans" will have a powerful lead character in the persona of Black Bolt. Known for his shattering power, his silence is due to his voice' deafening shockwave which is his key power. Black Bolt, in Marvel comics, was considered as the Ruler or King of the Inhumans despite his quiet disposition, even as he sleeps; in order to prevent untoward destruction because of his voice.
As Marvel Films announced the lead character for their upcoming ABC series, the show's showrunner Scott Buck cannot contain his excitement when he revealed the actor who will play the role. According to reports from Gizmodo, actor Anson Mount of "Mr. Right" will be portraying the enigmatic role of Black Bolt and his biggest challenge would be, not being able to speak. Black Bolt was a product of Kree's experimentation and became the ruler of the Inhuman Royal Family, his other abilities are flying and having a powerful strength.
He must be careful though of uttering even just a whisper, as this can produce a disastrous force by its sound waves. Black Bolt communicates either through sign language or by interpreting his thoughts through his wife Medusa. Based on reports from IGN, Anson Mount is already anticipating the challenges of his character while displaying a compose personality fit for the role, Marvel TV head, and executive producer Jeph Loeb has said.
Although there were rumors that the same Black Bolt character would be impersonated by Vin Diesel, however, the proposed "Inhumans" movie is still a long way to go. Another confirmed cast for the role of Maximus would be "Game of Thrones" star Iwan Rheon. Rheon will be the clever and charming brother of Black Bolt and he is very devoted to the people of Attilan.
"Marvel's The Inhumans" will have its first two episodes shown in IMAX theaters starting September. ABC network will then have the rest of the TV series on September 26, every Tuesday nights.
