According to the European Union, the tweaks of Microsoft Windows 10 privacy settings is still not transparent enough. The privacy settings of Microsoft greatly caused attentions and concerned among European watchdogs as it appears the tweaks weren't addressing the problems.

European collective of data watchdogs wanted the giant tech company to give clarifications of what personal data they have been collecting and of how it was used especially in advertising. Microsoft OS have already presented a photo of the new privacy settings but it was disregarded, Tech Crunch has reported.

The Tech Portal has reported that the Microsoft is known for gathering a volume of data being default on the operating system. By default, it means that the owners of Windows 10 OS are unaware that their data has been collected. It was announced last January that the new privacy setting rolled out with the new Windows 10 update

The said updates of Microsoft in Windows 10 added privacy options and eliminate processes on data collection from the "Basic" security option. The update blocked the automatic collecting of data. The abrupt changes came along after a lawsuit has been filed by the FDPIC against the Microsoft.

But later on, FDPIC, a privacy regulator and Swiss data collection, has dropped the lawsuit. In spite of the dropped lawsuit, according to the European Union, the Article 29 Working Party wanted to be illuminated. They wanted the giant tech company to explain the processing of the personal data, Microsoft responded, they are willing to cooperate.
