Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce and custody battle turned into an ugly mess. Now the actor is reportedly seeking out his old friends and start afresh in life.

According to Life & Style, Brad is taking steps to mend his relationship with longtime friend George Clooney. They were hardly in touch with each other during the "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" co-stars were together. Sources claimed that it was Angelina's jealousy of George's wife Amal Clooney that led to the tension between the old friends. 

"Angie couldn't stand being around Amal," Life & Style quoted the insider. "Not because Amal was unkind or rude, but solely because Angie was filled with envy."

The source added that Amal is a strong, educated, beautiful and highly successful woman. George Clooney's wife is a barrister, specializing in international law and human rights. 

Amal is well-respected in the political world and this is what bugs Angelina the most. Angie knows no matter how successful she becomes, people will still think of her as an actress above everything else.

Reportedly, Angelina banned Brad from attending his best mate George Clooney's wedding in 2014. At the time they were filming "By the Sea" just four hours away from the wedding venue.

However, Angelina is now out of Brad's life and the actor is determined to prove his friendship. The source stated that it took some time for Clooney to come to accept Brad Pitt back in his life because he was really hurt.

Clooney eventually gave Brad Pitt a second chance because he knows how much Angelina's influence was on her husband. The actress is tough.

Seems like Brad is not the only one making amends with people from the past. According to E! News Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight have been feuding over a decade. Previously Voight had hinted that his daughter was unstable and that started the feud.

Angelina had made it very clear that she doesn't want Voight in her life. However, in recent times the actress seems to have cooled down and stated that despite all the fights, the father and daughter still wish best upon each other. They have since formed an amicable relationship.
