The new Apple iPhone maybe one of the most awaited smartphones to hit the market, but it won't be the first one to offer one of the most advanced security features if it had so well planned so. A South Korean company has just announced that it has included a fingerprint sensor in its newest mobile device.

Reports have been circulating as of late that Apple would be including a new security feature in its newest smartphone. While most say the Cupertino-based company will be releasing two mobile phones this year, many believe the successor of the iPhone 5 will be packed with a fingerprint sensor apart from a number of other notable features including iOS 7. The sensor may be used to replace the code or pattern security lock found on most devices.

In an announcement made by South Korean company Pantech, the company revealed that its newest smartphone, the Vega LTE-A, will carry a fingerprint sensor.

"The world's first LTE-A smart phone fingerprint VEGA LTE-A," the company posted on its official Facebook page in Korean.

"VEGA LTE-A has finally been officially unveiled...[the smartphone] evolved more in touch with the available fingerprint 'Secret Key'."

According to the post, the new Vega LTE-A will feature a 5.6-inch screen and a "high-capacity battery" including fast charging.

International Business Times reports that the Pantech Vega LTE-A will be among the first smartphones to run on South Korea's LTE-Advanced network that was launched just recently. It is also the first ever smartphone in the market to have embedded fingerprint recognition software.

As for the iPhone 6 or iPhone 5S, no word has been confirmed about its specs or features; however, it is expected to be released by September.
