Harley Davidson Expands Street Line Up With Another Bike, The New Street Rod 750
Harley-Davidson has now expanded their new Street lineup with their third bike-the Street Rod 750, a sportier, cafe racer slash flat track style version of the street 750 cruiser.
According to The Drive, the bike is the result of the European markets, where Streets and Sportsters reign supreme. The Street Rod shares a frame and fuel tank with the Street 750, but it's an evidently different bike than other bikes, which comes with new tires and wheelbase combinations, forks, brakes, fender, headlights, and fairing.
The fuel tank is significantly redesigned and positioned forward as the seating position and foot pegs pushed a little backward to shift the center of gravity and give the bike a sportier feel, which makes it more comfortable f0r the rider to ride.
As per Science Times, the High Output Revolution X 750 motor or engine that the bike is fitted with gives it 18 percent more horsepower and 8 percent more torque than any regular Revolution X 750 engine. The new single overhead V-Twin engines feature a bigger air box, another double throat throttle body, and a higher-volume muffler, amended four-valve cylinder heads and high-lift camshafts.
The New Street Rod is the smartest bike in the current Harley-Davidson line-up, said Weber. "Tires, wheels, suspension and body geometry are built to cooperate and deliver best handling of that is light and exact at all rates. Also, longer suspension travel raises ride height by 3.7 inches, to 29.4, and allows room for cast aluminum 17-inch wheels front and rear.
The Street Rod 750 will come in three colors: Charcoal Denim, Olive Gold, and Vivid Black. There's a price bump over the USD 7,549 Street 750-pricing for the Street Rod is USD 8,699 for Vivid Black and USD 8,994 for Olive Gold and Charcoal Denim. The new bike is available in dealerships this month.
