After the issues that were plaguing several owners of the LG UltraFine 5K displays were brought to Apple's attention, it did not take long for the tech giant long to executive immediate action in making sure that such problems were rectified in record time.

However, in order to do that, the company had to halt the sales of the 5K displays till newer and improved units were released. Sure enough, the company kept its word and some users have started receiving their UltraFine 5K monitors before the intended arrival date.

According to 9 to 5 Mac, Apple has officially disconnected its Cinema Display with its ultra-high resolution. That said, LG stepped in with its UltraFine 5K display to fill the void. Apple even promoted the display along with the new 2016 MacBook Pro machines.

However, the display suffered a fatal flaw to its router causing it all kinds of problems from corrupted images to crashing systems. LG recently announced that it already shipping revised versions that resolve the issue, and the fix is apparently working.

With that being said, LG has urged customers that are afflicted by the disconnect problem even after moving Wi-Fi gear 6.6 feet away from the original batch of displays to contact LG service for assistance, Uber Gizmo has learned.

LG UltraFine 5K Display returned to the market earlier this month after LG made some changes to the display's shielding following the discovery that the original design left the display vulnerable to interference from Wi-Fi routers and other electronics. The issue was a bit of a black eye for Apple, considering the company recently elected to exit the display market and instead partnered with LG on the new 27-inch UltraFine 5K and its smaller sibling, the 21.5-inch UltraFine 4K.

As of this moment, the LG UltraFine 5K displays are still discounted prices until the end of March 2017. The 5K is priced at $974 and is expected to return to its normal price of $1,299.95 once the sale is over.
