Selena Gomez Discontinue Using Instagram Account After Being Fed Up; Photo-Sharing Platform Now Run By Singer's Assistant
Selena Gomez has reportedly cut ties from her own Instagram account. Reports claim that the 24-year old singer, who is the most-followed person on Instagram is no longer in control of her personal social media account.
According to Elite Daily, the versatile personality was hooked to the Instagram app, the widely known photo-sharing outlet. Recently, Selena Gomez took the lead and garnered limelight when she became the most followed person recorded in Instagram.
The singer established that Instagram once influenced her life. She used to wake up in the morning by keeping a track with the latest feed on social media and wrapped up her day with the same activity, she opened up to one of the reporters from Vogue and said that she is sick of it.
However, the Instagram addiction for Selena Gomez was short-lived and it finally came to an end. While talking to Vogue, she explained that her addiction called a halt when she began seeing things, she never wanted to see.
"As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out." Selena Gomez explains the reason for withdrawing herself as she seems to be mentally saturated from the constant usage of Instagram.
Even though Selena Gomez appreciated dwelling in the age of spoiler paranoia, the constant oversharing and overflowing opinion within the platform allowed her to retract. Even with 113 million followers, she now prefers staying away from the outlet and currently does not even have her Instagram password for now.
Selena Gomez says that she has deleted the app from her phone, which gives rise to further questions as to who is in charge of her account. Her Instagram account is now being run under the authority of her assistant, who every now and then posts photos to allow regular interaction.
