AMD Vega Graphic Cards Specifications Released; Radeon RX Vega to Save Power by Delivering Enhanced Productivity
AMD has currently garnered immense support because of its latest Ryzen processors. The Radeon RX Vega is the latest AMD graphic cards and is set to compete against Nvidia. They are considered to be affordable as it falls under the reasonable price range combined with supplying fast performances.
AMD Vega is the new addition to the Radeon graphics cards available this year. The full and correct name is AMD Radeon RX Vega, thus, brushing aside name speculations, including RX 490 and RX 580, reports PC Advisor.
AMD is hoping to release the RX Vega cards in the second quarter of the year. Technological enthusiasts will be able to install the chips in June and are expected to see big performance intensifications as the graphic cards have brought modification to the processor's architecture.
Based on speculations, the AMD Vega is expected to feature 14nm GFX9 GPU, 64 NCUs, 4096 stream processors, 16GB HBM2. In terms of memory, it is expected to carry 2048-bit memory bus with 512GB/s bandwidth and PCIe Gen 3 x16, reports Droid Report.
There is also a different version "Vega 11," which holds the quality of a low-end card. Moreover, it will come with Next-generation Compute Unit (NCU), which will allow only a portion of the chip to be used rendering ample power and enhanced productivity. The full power of the chip may be required when the PC is ordered to play games and high-quality settings.
The AMD Vega chips will come with a High-bandwidth cache controller (HBCC) paired with High-bandwidth Memory 2 (HBM2). It is supposed to equip the latest technology of Primitive Shader and Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer, thus, rendering it power efficient.
The AMD Vega will also sport HBCC to make games run faster with efficient speed. Similarly, the new Vega comes with a novel feature HBM2. In contrast, NVidia uses GDDR5 memory, which comes with a drawback of a narrow bus.
The addition of Primitive Shader and Draw Beam Binning Rasterizer allows the user to save unnecessary calculations by avoiding the pixels which are not seen in a frame. They make sure that these redundant pixels are not allocated processing time, thus, making it time-saving and more effective.
Ryzen is expected to offer plenty of features and specifications due to which the users are stoked about. As for now, AMD has not officially announced the details including model and prices.
