'Godzilla: Monster Planet' Update: Important Plot Details & Title Revealed Ahead Its Premiere
Godzilla has been lingering so much to our big screen since decades ago and will continue to do so with the Monsterverse of Universal. The Japanese-origin kaiju has wrecked and battled with lots of monsters but managed to keep itself living and fighting for another film.Now, an animated Godzilla film, first of its kind, is set to be streamed by Netflix and will explore much more than the previous installments.
According to Crunchy Roll, the second teaser of "Godzilla: Monster Planet" revealed some important plot details regarding the upcoming animated film. The official title is "Godzilla: Kaiju Wakusei" and is set to hit Japan's theaters in this 2017 with Netflix handling much of the worldwide release. The story is going to explore a single man's adventure for revenge and taking back the planet Earth from the 350-foot creature. With a tagline of "I will definitely take this earth/planet back," there should be interesting details and seeing a future Earth since the story is set in 2048.
Anime News Network revealed the plot details of the "Godzilla: Monster Planet" starting with the acknowledgement of existence of kaijus on Earth. After a long defeating battle, the humans tried to exit the planet and head to "Tau Cetus e," only to find that the planet with a distance of 11.9 light years is not habitable to human beings. Now, Haruo, vowed to defeat Godzilla, after the giant creature killed his parents when he was 4 years old. Haruo with team of "Earth Returnists" went back to Earth but the travel took 20,000 years from Earth, which then become a world owned by Godzilla.
The "Godzilla: Monster Planet" is the first film in the anime franchise and will continue to do so. The film will open this 2017 with no definite date but Japan territory will be ahead over the world in release.
