Apple MacBook Pro 2017 to Have AMD Ryzen APU
AMD Ryzen has been released to universal acclaim, and while some still think that AMD cannot pull through with their claims, others are rejoicing at the prospect of getting Intel i7 equivalent processors that are good for gaming as well as processing tasks.
Right now, AMD Ryzen rumors are circling about how their processor would only get better with time as BIOS drivers and Windows 10 Scheduler Service updates are released. According to some other rumors, Ryzen would not have new driver support for Windows 7/8.1 and this comes as a disappointing news for people who were not planning to upgrade from Windows 7.
However, the biggest AMD Ryzen rumor is that Apple has decided to go for an AMD Ryzen APU for their MacBook Pro 2017. This might be possible with Raven Ridge, an AMD APU with Zen core architecture. Raven Ridge is all set to sail through the seas that have been dominated by Intel APU's.
Some Apple rumors suggest that the Cupertino company has decided to use AMD Ryzen because of its superior single thread and multi-thread performance at a lower power draw. The CPU's also run Linux base better than Intel i7. The lower TDP might have led Apple to opt for AMD Ryzen, which ensures maximum productivity at the lower expense of battery cost.
AMD Ryzen as of now as been proved to be very effective processors for heavy processing tasks like graphics and editing. Therefore Apple, whose MacBook is a productivity-oriented laptop, would benefit greatly from the AMD Ryzen and Radeon Vega combination in Raven Ridge APUs.
AMD Ryzen and Radeon Vega would allow MacBook users to do punchy graphical tasks. As such, AMD Ryzen rumors to be very versatile over a number of Zen architectures. The Raven Ridge would be having DDR4 capable memory, up to 4 Zen CPU cores, Vega architecture GPU, and a 14-nm process node.
