Katy Perry May Now Own The Controversial Convent In Loz Feliz; 'Chained to the Rhythm' Singer Linked to Ryan Phillippe
It's official! Katy Perry is now free to purchase a controversial building in Los Feliz which was a former convent. The "Chained to the Rhythm" singer who is recently linked to actor Ryan Phillippe may now be able to acquire the property.
The five nuns who believed they owned the former convent was embroiled in a legal battle against the Los Angeles Archdiocese. According to NBC New York, a judge has granted the favor to the latter as it was revealed that they did not have the rights to sell it.
A Dana Hollister who brought the property from the sisters was barred from completing the transaction. The Archdiocese apparently invalidated the claim by the sisters and now Katy Perry may be able to purchase the former convent following the ordeal.
In other news, Katy Perry has been recently linked to Ryan Phillippe. Reports say that the two were hanging out together at Elton John's birthday party and were seen "flirting" with each other, Mail Online reports.
According to an unnamed source, Katy Perry and Ryan Phillippe were originally in separate tables. The actor reportedly made his way to Katy's area and sat down next to her which is how they started flirting. The birthday party was also a benefit event for the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Hammer Museum. It was attended by other celebrities including Sharon Osbourne, Isla Fisher, Stevie Wonder and more.
The rumors of Katy Perry and Ryan Phillippe being romantically linked together in the future is based on the fact that the two are newly single. The singer previously dated Orlando Bloom and the "Cruel Intentions" actor ended his engagement last November. The two also share some similarities in the love departments as they have been married to other people before.
