'The Last of Us 2' Will Be Great, Says Naughty Dog President Evan Wells; Neil Druckmann Involved in Story
"The Last of Us" is undoubtedly one of the best games in the market and there has been reasonable hype for the sequel. Naughty Dog President Evan Wells has stated that "The Last of Us 2" will be great and Neil Druckmann from "Uncharted" has pitched a story for it.
It has been revealed in an interview that Naughty Dog plans to focus more on "The Last of Us 2" than they did with the first one. PlayStation Lifestyle reports that after a team is done working on "The Lost Legacy," they will be transferred to work full time together with the core team for the sequel.
The outlet adds that Naughty Dog has finished the finishing touches on the latest installment of "Uncharted." Evan Wells revealed that Neil Druckmann will also be on board for "The Last of Us 2." The Naughty Dog president adds that he is confident that the anticipated sequel will have a great storyline as well.
Furthermore, Neil Druckmann said during the announcement of "The Last of Us 2" that Ellie will be playable in the sequel and Joel will take the supporting role. Kotaku reports that Ellie will have a different play style than Joey who was the main playable character in the 2013 game, "The Last of Us."
Naughty Dog has released some teasers and trailers for "The Last of Us 2." Since then, fan theories have circulated on the internet. One of the most popular rumors includes Joel being dead and being part of Ellie's imagination.
In one of the trailers for "The Last of Us 2," it was hinted that Ellie will be leading a revenge mission against the main antagonists in the first game. More details for the sequel are expected soon. There is no official date for the release of the game.
