'Destiny 2' Gets New Trailer, Fresh Storyline; Bungie Plans To Still Maintain 'Destiny' After Sequel Launching on Sep. 8
"Destiny 2" is an upcoming sequel Bungie's "Destiny" game which was released in 2014. The second game will feature a fresh storyline and features that the original game lacked. With its launching on September 8 this year, Bungie has said that they will continue to maintain the first game to quell the concerns of players.
Bungie has also released the trailer for "Destiny 2" this week to further fire up the hype. It was learned that the game will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Players were overjoyed by the PC platform announcement as "Destiny" was only released for consoles.
The fan theories of the plot for "Destiny 2" have been answered by the trailer. Express reports that Earth's Last City is no longer a safe heaven and the Tower has been destroyed by The Cabal.
In "Destiny 2," players will need to contend with a potent enemy who has an army called the Red Legion. To stand a chance, players will play as "Guardians" and choose from a wide array of weaponry and abilities to equip their character with.
Console and PC preorders for "Destiny 2" are currently ongoing. The game is priced at $60 and $90 for the Expansion Pass. The add-ons for the game will cost $20 each which means that the Expansion Pass will save customers $10.
Those who will preorder "Destiny 2" will get early access for the game's beta on every platform it is available. Bungie announced that they will open the beta this summer.
There has been concern from players regarding the fate of "Destiny" once the sequel arrives. Deej from Bungie has said that "Destiny" will still be supported as it still has many followers. Cinema Blend reports that with "Destiny 2" coming, it is not sure if the original game will have new updates or content.
