NBA News: Dwyane Wade To Make Possible Return To Bulls' Lineup On Saturday
According to recent league sources, Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade has finally returned to full-contact practice Wednesday and have high chances of returning right before the end of the season despite previous reports that he has been ruled out. This update was confirmed by Bulls head Coach Fred Hoiberg, who said that Wade looked good when he participated on in practice today
According to NBA Hoiberg was also glad to say that Dwyane Wade was able to participate in most of the contact drills. "Right now, the only thing for Wade to do now is getting his conditioning and timing back, but it was really good to finally see him back out there and taking part of our scrimmage," Hoiberg said during the interview.
If league sources are to be true, Dwyane Wade plans to return to the court on Saturday when the Bulls go up against the Brooklyn Nets. As a recall, the 35-year-old Dyane Wade suffered a fractured elbow during March 15's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
After the incident, the team initially announced that Dwyane Wade would miss the remainder of the regular season with the said injury. Chicago is currently tied with the Indiana Pacers for the seventh place in the Eastern Conference, despite it still holding a potential tiebreaker.
The Miami Heat are currently ninth in the conference but are also tied with the Bulls and Pacers in the loss column. According to CBS Sports, the final handful of games remaining this season will be the determiner of which of the three teams will wind up being in the Playoffs come postseason.
Dwyane Wade is currently in his first season with his hometown Chicago Bulls after leaving the Heat in free agency. Bulls star Jimmy Butler, who has been carrying the Bulls ever since Wade went down with the injury, said that is a lot "easier" when Wade is on the floor.
