United Airlines Racism Aboard Went Viral On Social Media; Oscar Munoz Says Sorry For The Outrage
Is racism really still exist? Especially on the United Airlines who is centered on all social media's site topics. The question is who will take the blame of the overbook flight that causes from a horrifying scene aboard?
One of the United Airlines passengers was forcibly dragged out and beaten up by law enforcement became viral on social media after a concerned citizen took a video of the horrible incident aboard. On New York Times report, the reported Chinese Doctor was randomly selected to embark in order to give the seat on the Airlines four standby crew.
At first, the Chinese Doctor was asked to get off on the plane but refuses to do their request. In order to take him off on the plane, the United Airlines officials ask helps from law enforcement and then the worst scenario happens which cause a bloodied face to the doctor.
Moreover, the Chinese Doctor was recognized as Dr. David Dao, a 69-year old passenger who treated unfairly aboard because he is a Chinese citizen. United Airlines also received backlash from Chinese people and many of them suggested to boycott the airlines.
The video immediately went viral on social media and bashed the management of United Airlines that also provokes their clients not to book a flight on them. It seems that the United Airlines more prioritizing crews comfortable flight and not on their customer's needs.
Meanwhile, Oscar Munoz, United Airlines CEO, says how deeply sorry he was in the incident which they have received quick responses of disappointment, outrage, and anger under on his management. He also added that each and every customer aboard should be treated fair and not on the video that went viral, on News report.
United Airlines CEO, Oscar Munoz guaranteed to fix the outcome and will take full responsibilities from what happen on Dr. David Dao. He also added that the incident will set a good example of how to approach their customers in a good way and how they teamed up with law enforcement.
However, the United Airlines CEO assured that the result of the review will be out on April 30th and promised to do their job better. The outrage will surely affect the US-based airline's rate and have fewer customers to book a flight on them.
