Beyonce New Haircut 2013 [Photos]: Stars and Fans React to her Pixie Cut
Beyonce shocked the entire world when she debuted her new hairdo on Instagram. The multi-Grammy Award-winning singer has been known for her untamed, curly locks, but it seems that she's already gone a different direction: donning a new Pixie Cut.
Queen Bey has had her frizzies since her Destiny's Child-days, enabling the trademark whipping of her hair back and forth at almost every performance. But a recent string of images posted on her personal Instagram account shows super short hair for the new mom, surprising not only her fans, but celebrities as well.
Since uploading the images earlier today, everyone has sent their opinions on the new 'do.
"Nearly got out my scissors this morning after seeing @Beyonce 's pixie cut. I only just managed to restrain myself. Close call though.." tweeted Emma Watson, who used to wear a similar haircut shortly after wrapping up filming for the Harry Potter series.
News personality Katie Couric also had her two cents about the look.
"Love Beyonce's new do! Wish I could pull that off! I've tried...and failed!" she tweeted, together with an image of her used-to-be pixie cut.
Others also had comical takes on Bey's hair.
Huffington Post Style posted an "Obituary for Beyonce's Hair" article on its website, identifying the hair as "Tressa Fierce, an iconic hairdo." According to the post, the hairdo died on Wednesday after being "attacked by a pair of scissors."
Fans also weighed in on the hair issue.
"What was beyoncé thinking cutting off all her hair... first miley then beyoncé whats happening with the world," tweeted @basmahermiz.
"Beyonce looks cute with her short hair," tweets @sianna.
"Beyonce is still the most beautiful woman on earth even with short hair," @CCrowley4 posted on his Twitter account.
While debates go on as to whether Beyonce made the right decision in cutting her hair, one thing's for sure: she looks fierce no matter what. Check out more images of her hairdo below.
