Rihanna Naked: 'Diamonds' Star Wears Sparkly Dress to CFDA Awards, Notches Fashion Icon Award
She may be a pop star, but she's known for so much more. Twenty-six-year-old Barbadian singer Rihanna is not only known for her undeniable sex appeal, she's also known for her impeccable fashion.
So it's no surprise that Rihanna chose to combine her sex appeal, her bodacious body, and her fashion all in one at this year's CFDA Awards where she was honored with the 2014 Fashion Icon Award.
Billboard.com reports that Rihanna wore a custom Adam Selman gown that was encrusted with 216,000 Swarovski crystals.
Sounds nice, right?
Well, here's one detail we didn't include; the gown was completely sheer and showed off Rihanna's now famous breasts. Rihanna also wore a thong underneath the dress that covered her front side but left nothing to the imagination in the back.
Aside from the fact that Rihanna bared all of her goodies to the world Monday night, Billboard compared the look to that of legendary singer, actress, and dancer Josephine Baker.
Anna Wintour presented the "Unapologetic" singer with the coveted award and said that with Rihanna, "the point is to be audacious -- even jaw-dropping or button-pushing," reports CBS.
You can say that again.
Following Wintour's mini introduction, Rihanna got up on stage and began talking about how she has used fashion as a defense mechanism to compensate for her weaknesses.
"I didn't have a lot of access to fashion," she said to the crowd. "Fashion has always been my defense mechanism. Even as a child, I used to think, 'She can beat me, but she can't beat my outfit.'"
Rihanna then added, "I can compensate for all my weaknesses with my fashion. There are rules, but rules are meant to be broken."
Needless to say, Rihanna certainly broke all the rules at this year's CFDA awards at New York City's Lincoln Center.
