It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S6 won't come out until sometime in 2015, but smartphone users might already be thinking about upgrading their devices.

Let's take a look at the features and see if it's worth upgrading.

As you can see the S6 is bigger in height, width and depth.

The S5 weighs 140g.

The S6 is expected to weigh between 150g and 160g. Could this mean a bigger battery? More rugged materials?

Processor Speed

The S5 clocks in at 2.26 Ghz, that's pretty good for a smartphone.

The S6 will be even better. It's expected to clock in at 3 Ghz.

RAM

The S5 has 2 GB of ram.

The S6 will have 4 GB of ram.

Display

The S5's screen is 5.3 inches, one of the biggest screen sizes for a smartphone on the market.

The S6's screen will be huge: 5.7 inches. It will be like a mini tablet or "phablet."

Camera

The S5 camera is already impressive. It's between 16MP and 20MP. The front-facing camera is 5MP.

The S6 camera will default at 20MP. That's an excellent camera for a phone to have. The front-facing camera will be either 6MP or 7MP.

Battery

The S5's battery is 3600mAh

The S6's battery will likely be 4000mAh. This could get users a little more battery life.

Conclusion

The S6 will be large and heavy, it will get a super-fast processor, but is that worth it? It doesn't appear the S6 is worth upgrading to. Aside from the better camera, there's no real big advantage to upgrading. Wait for the S7, if there ends up being one. You'll be happy you waited.
