While Andy Canales, a political activist, was driving in Houston, he inquired about his aunt and mother regarding their opinions involving the presidential candidates of the Democrats.

The two sisters, immigrants from El Salvador, talked about the Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, and Beto O'Rourke. The sisters also expressed their observation of Pete Buttigieg's youthful conduct.

Even though Julián Castro is the sole presidential candidate with a Latino background, the two sisters were unable to mention him.

Before running for the 2020 presidential election, the Latino presidential candidate worked as the US housing secretary and served as the mayor of San Antonio. He is the Democrat's sole Latino presidential candidate for the 2020 elections.

"They didn't even mention him. Part of the challenge for (Castro) is people aren't really paying attention as much right now - and name recognition is a challenge," said Chairman Canales of Latino Texas (a political committee the functions and promotes Latino US political candidates).

Former US Vice President and 2020 election Presidential Candidate, Joe Biden is becoming a crowd favorite for the Latino community aiming to relieve current president Trump of his powers over the US.

According to a survey conducted by Telemundo Noticias, Julián Castro only garnered two percent of the support of Latino registered voters in the US while Joe Bidden gets twenty-six percent of Latino support and Sanders with eighteen percent.

The focus of the Latino presidential candidate in his presidential campaign is immigration-related issues. He also plans to help with the education of immigrants in the US. He made his first trip as a 2020 election presidential candidate to a summit for Latinos in Puerto Rico. During the summit, he was able to emphasize the changes he is planning to make to the current immigration laws under the leadership of President Donald Trump and enforced by his administration.

The mother of the Latino presidential candidate raised him in San Antonio. His mother is a Mexican-American activist. He served the public as the mayor of San Antonio for 5 years before his appointment as the secretary in the US Housing and Urban Development. He was appointed by former US President Barrack Obama in the year 2014.

Joaquin Castro, the identical twin brother of Castro also serves the government as a US Representative in Dallas, Texas.

According to the executive director of Progress Texas, Ed Espinoza, despite being the sole Latino presidential candidate in the 2020 election in the United States of America, he still fails, as of the moment, to acquire the support of his fellow Latino immigrants.

Progress Texas is a not-for-profit organization that supports liberal causes.

Espinoza also added in his statement that the candidates to the 2020 election should put a significant amount of their time to visit Latino communities in the country.

Latino activists from all over the country are praising Castro's initiative to end the era of immigrant-bullying and becoming a role model to create a beautiful future for the Latino immigrant community by running for the highest position in the country.
