The second hearing of the President Trump impeachment proceedings is nearing. According to a statement released to the public by President Donald Trump, he will "strongly consider" testifying before congress after being invited by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The President was asked by Speaker Pelosi to take part in the proceedings that would determine his fate and his leadership of the country. A tweet addressed to Pelosi said, "she also said I could do it in writing."

"Even though I did nothing wrong, and don't like giving credibility to this No Due Process Hoax, I like the idea and will, to get Congress focused again, strongly consider it!" said the President of the United States of America through a tweet.

President Trump had posted two tweets again on Monday aimed at Speaker Pelosi regarding her interview on the hearing of the Trump impeachment.

"Our Crazy, Do Nothing (where's USMCA, infrastructure, lower drug pricing & much more?) Speaker of the House, Nervous Nancy Pelosi, who is petrified by her Radical Left knowing she will soon be gone (they & Fake News Media are her bosses), suggested on Sunday's DEFACE THE NATION that I testify about the phony Impeachment Witch Hunt," said President Trump on his Twitter account.

If President Trump decides to present a written statement instead of personally attending the hearings, he will not undergo live questioning and that could cause accidental perjury. His answers, however, will still be accepted under oath.

President Donald Trump had recently issued written statements to answer the questions coming from special counsel Robert Mueller. This was part of the Russian inquiry that ended up falling flat as Democrats failed to prove any wrong-doing on the President's part.

None-the-less, according to the report of Mueller, the answers submitted by President Trump were "inadequate" and "incomplete" or "imprecise".

The tweets posted by President Trump on Monday were after Speaker Pelosi's television interview on Sunday where she invites the President to appear in front of the investigators. This will be the second week of the long, drawn out impeachment hearing against President Donald Trump.

"If he has information that is exculpatory, that means 'ex' - taking away - 'culpable' - blame - then we look forward to seeing it. He could come right before the committee and talk, speak all the truth that he wants if he wants," said Speaker Pelosi during the airing of her interview with "Face the Nation" on CBS.

"If Donald Trump doesn't agree with what he's hearing, doesn't like what he's hearing, he shouldn't tweet. He should come to the committee and testify under oath. And he should allow all those around him to come to the committee and testify under oath. What is he hiding?" said Chuck Schumer to reporters. Chuck Schumer is a Senate Minority leader who supports Speaker Pelosi's invitation to President Donald Trump to personally attend the impeachment hearings regarding his presidency.

The House intelligence committee is making preparations for the 2nd week of the public hearing regarding President Donald Trump's impeachment investigations. The White House still refuses to back down regarding the investigations, which the president and many American citizens, describe as a sham.
