New Apple Products to Feature AR, Cheaper iPhones in 2020
New Apple products are coming this 2020 and faithful fans are in for a treat. There are a lot of new rumored offerings; a new iPhone, a cheaper iPhone and an improved Apple watch, among others.
According to Business Insider, buyers would want to save up now because a lot of new Apple products are on their way next year. If the rumors are true, the iPhone 12, which is the first 5G enabled in its history, will debut in 2020. Aside from the new iPhone, other products are going to have new features.
The iPhone 12 is allegedly smaller than the iPhone 11 Pro. It will be offered in 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.7-inch screen sizes while the latter has 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch for its iPhone 11 variants.
The iPad Pro will be equipped with 3D sensors and two camera sensors, making it AR (Augmented Reality) ready. This could be a potential game-changer for the tech giant and also a teaser or what is to come. Apple is reportedly eyeing to launch its AR compatible headset in 2021 or 2022.
There will be iPhones for the budget-conscious, Mac Rumors reports. The "iPhone SE 2" is expected to enter the market in the first or second quarter of 2020. The phone will feature A13 processor with a Touch ID Home button. The device will most likely be similar to iPhone 8 rather than its predecessor.
In a fast paced world where rest is important for many people, Apple is said to be launching an Apple Watch that can monitor sleep. It will retain some features of the older designs but improved in terms of connectivity and water resistance. The data can then be used to analyze and optimize work performance with much and without much sleep.
To compete in the highly-competitive online streaming industry in 2020, Apple is looking to offer a package that includes Apple TV+, Apple News+, and Apple Music. If this plan pushes through, Apple will give Amazon Prime and Netflix a run for their own money.
In terms of display, Tim Cook is planning something. CNBC reported that the group is planning to use mini LED in their laptops and gadgets in 2020. "We believe that the mini LED technology will significantly improve productivity and the entertainment experience," tech expert Ming-Chi Kuo claims.
Music lovers will be given a chance to own a HomePod that is fit for their budget. When HomePod was launched, it carried a price tag that is similar to Amazon Echo and Google Home. Apple is hoping that by reducing its price, it can attract young music lovers in return.
This year, one of the surprise releases of Apple is the second generation AirPods. It features longer talk time and Siri support. The AirPods Pro also hit the market last October 30.
Reports claim that an Apple car and AR Smart Glasses are not that far off. If the alleged releases take place next year, it is a step in the right direction for Apple.
