Rapper and singer Juice WRLD suffered a medical emergency after arriving at Chicago's International Airport. The medical examiner's office of Illinois Cook County confirmed that he died shortly in a nearby hospital.

Jarad Anthony Higgins, professionally known as Juice WRLD, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter who is best known for his hit singles 'All Girls Are the Same' and 'Lucid Dreams' which helped him gain a record contract with Lil Bibby's Grade A Productions and Interscope Records.

In a report from The Guardian, Juice WRLD suffered a seizure and began bleeding from the mouth shortly after arriving at Chicago's Midway. He was conscious when he was taken to the hospital, but later died. The cause of death is not yet known.

According to the Chicago Police Spokesman Guglielmi, "There were no signs of foul play and all individuals aboard the aircraft are cooperating with CPD and have given all of their information."

Meanwhile, police are still waiting for the medical examiner to determine the cause of death. Cook County Medical Examiner's Office Spokeswoman Natalia Derevyanny sain that an autopsy has not performed yet to determine the cause and manner of death.

In a published article in CNN, Interscope Records said: "Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period and he was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds, an exceptional human being, and artist who loved and cared for his fans above everything else."

Billboard magazine said that Juice WRLD signed a contract to Interscope Records in March 2018 following his hits on SoundCloud with his best hit singles 'All Girls Are the Same' and Lucid Dreams'.

According to the SoundCloud that Juice WRLD was the most streamed, liked, and reposted artist in 2018. His song 'Lucid Dreams' top-notched as the most played songs last year. His popularity even led him to be named as Top New Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in May.

In less than two years Juice WRLD's songs reached its 100 charts 25 times, Billboard said. They even added that as of Saturday Juice WRLD songs were included on three songs on the Hot 100 rankings.

The music industry was very stunned of his death and several artists reacted on social media. Drake wrote in his Instagram account "I would like to see all the younger talent live longer and I hate waking up hearing another story filled with blessings was cut short."

Lil Yachty who featured Juice WRLD in his song also expressed in his twitter account. He wrote "Wow, I can not believe this. Rip my brother juice world."

Ellie Goulding who collaborated with Juice WRLD on the song 'Hate Me' shared a photo of them and said that he was a sweet soul. She also wrote in her Twitter account "You had so much further to go, you were just getting started. You'll be missed Juice."

Lil Nas X also paid tribute to Juice WRLD and he said in his Twitter account that it is so sad that this happened to the up-and-coming artist.

It can be remembered that Juice WRLD candidly spoke about his experiences in using drugs. In one of his interviews he said "[Drugs] can ruin your whole life and if they don't kill you, they can leave you in a trance for the rest of your life. Most fucking rappers rap about getting high and feeling great. But I talk about the good side and the bad side. Just to shed some light on the negative side."

In an interview from The Vulture in 2018 he said "More recently, I've just kind of realised certain things about myself and my coming up, the way that substances played a part in my life, whether it was me doing them or other people and it's something that I'm trying to separate myself from," Juice WRLD admitted in 2018 that he minimized the use of drugs in the same year.
