After his infamous 2015 mix-up when he announced the wrong Miss Universe winner, Steve Harvey once again made the headlines and for the second time, it involves Miss Colombia, according to an article by Philstar.

Hosting Miss Universe for the fourth time in Atlanta, Georgia last Sunday, the legendary comedian was entertaining the crowd with his trademark charisma, but when Miss Colombia Gabriela Tafur was announced as part of the top 20, he joked about "the cartel" after she laughingly told him that she and the Columbians have forgiven him for his previous mistake.

"You've forgiven me. The cartel has not. They're not handling it the same way," said Harvey.

The joke fell flat as the audience did not respond. Moreover, people voiced out their disappointment on social media.

On person posted on Twitter, "That was not only disrespectful but absolutely unacceptable and unnecessary."

Another said, "Maybe someone should tell #SteveHarvey that his jokes about Cartels in Colombia are rude and disrespectful, he encourages wrong stereotypes."

Meanwhile according to a report by Washington Post, Miss Colombia spoke about the issue through her tweet on Monday morning.

"Cartel jokes are not funny @IAmSteveHarvey," she said. Said tweet has gained more than 15,000 likes.

The host-comedian has not yet responded to the issue, but on the same day, he posted two tweets which seemed to lash out his critics.

The first one said, "Quit tripping every time something negative happens to you." A few hours later he followed up with, "Hate is louder than love, but love is stronger than hate. If you focus on those who love you, you can blow over the haters. Most people hate you only because of the way other people love you. #MondayMotivation."

Harvey's cartel joke wasn't the only controversial part that evening.

After the top 10 was announced, the host appeared to announce the wrong winner of the national costume portion of the pageant. He named Miss Philippines Gazini Ganados as the winner but the screen showed Miss Malaysia's Shweta Sekhon fully dressed with her national contume and took the mic from Harvey, seemingly correcting him.

"It's not Philippines, it's Malaysia," she said.

For a moment, Harvey himself got confused but defended himself saying he read the teleprompter correctly and that it said Miss Philippines was the winner.

"Well, let me explain something, I just read that in the teleprompter," the host said. "Y'all gotta quit doing this to me. I can read! They are trying to fix it now, but this is what they did to me back in 2015," he added.

Harvey was right. The Miss Universe Organization tweeted on Monday confirming that the host had it right and that Philippines' bet was indeed the winner of the national costume competition. However, the organization didn't provide an explanation as to why Miss Malaysia was the one presented.

The 19th edition of the pageant crowned South Africa's Zozibini Tunzi as the winner among the 90 contestants from all over the world, according to a report by Latin Post. She was succeeded by Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Mexico who finished as runners-up.
