The 7 Best Latino Shows of the Decade
This decade gave a chance for Latino shows to be aired on big three networks and different music platforms. It was indeed a success because this decade also opened doors for young Latinos and Latinos to be known in the film and music industry before this decade ends.
The rise of Latino music not only in America, but also outside the country was well recognized. In fact, Latino music topped the charts on Amazon music, Apple music, Spotify, and other music platforms. In addition, when it is true that the participation of Latinos in Hollywood are becoming more rare, their performance is still incomparable.

1. Shades of Blue
This series was starred by Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta. Though it did not receive many awards, that does not mean that that this show isn't worthy of our time. 2. Narcos
This decade will not be completed without recognizing films and movie series about the cartels. Narcos is a cartel story. 3. Mr. Iglesias
This is a family comedy that features the warm lighting and laugh tracks of the earlier decades. This movoe turned the structural problems in education into a heartwarming moments about how a good teacher can make difference. It has diverse cast but it centers in a Latino family.
4. Devious Maids
Who could have forgotten this show? Of course most people have watched this, and some got frustrated by the way it ended. This show is produced by one of the most richest and powerful Latina Eva Longoria. It shows different issues about the maids premise but still to manage he hearts of the Latinos. This show was starred by well-known Latina artists like Ana Ortiz, Dania Raamirez, Roselyn Sanchez, and Judy Reyes.
5. Mayans M.C.
Latino shows are not only known for cartel and narcotics movie. One of the best lines that realy marked to its viewers is "There is a lot in my past that you don't know about." Edward James Olmos who played the patriarch in this movie is an important supporting actor who played as a dad of the protagonist. This talked about how Olmos showed his love towards his son.
6. Marvel's Runaways
Marvel Runaways was set in Los Angeles and aired on Hulu. This show featured the diversity of the city. There are Latinos, blacks, Japanese, and even those with different gender preference like gays and bisexuals. They also include characters with mental illnesses. This show portrayed Brentwood and South Central where there is an extreme disparity without valorizing one. You should not miss this show.
7. Cristela
This was only aired for one season but this does not mean that it does not have significant impacts to its viewers. She is the first Latina who create, writer, and stae in her own sitcom. She introduced to millions of Americans the insights about Mexican-American family who are inclined with drugs.
These are only few of the shows that really marked this decade. Latino films and movies are extremely unique because it show the everyday challenges of Latinos and Latinas. Its genuine themes are what make it as must-watched movies. Moreover, you have to expect for more Latino shows in the decade to come because Ozzie Aurie now owns the first major Latino-owned film studio that will give chance to Latinas and Latinos most especially the underrepresented to have a more significant role in the Hollywood industry.
