News and speculation keeps pouring in over the much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and now there appears to be solid evidence to support some of those claims. Following the Note 3's DLNA certification, several features of the phone can now be confirmed for its fans.
The Dutch website RBMen has just released a log that confirms some of the latest rumors of what the the Note 3's specifications will be. Here is what has been confirmed thus far.
-Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 2.3Ghz processor
-5.7-inch FHD AMOLED display
-3GB RAM
-13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS)
-150Mbps LTE-Advanced support
-3450mAh battery
Most of those specifications were already being circulated through the rumor mill and do not come as a major surprise. What is particularly exciting is the size of the battery.
"The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 speculation just got bigger. Literally. According to a tipster at PhoneArena, Samsung's forthcoming "phablet" will feature a 3450mAh battery -- the largest cell Samsung has ever used in a phone," writes Alex Colon at gigaom.com.
Those specs come along with many other exciting features for the Note 3. It has been rumored that a flexible screen will be added to reduce the likelihood of cracking, as well as some nifty technology first found on the Samsung Galaxy S4. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the Note 3 will run Android 4.3.
"The Samsung Galaxy Note III is also rumored to come with Samsung's new eye tracking technology, Eye Pause, which will pause a video you are watching when you move your eyes away from the display and Eye Scroll, which will scroll up and down web pages using your eyes," reports Geeky Gadgets.
Rumors of the impending arrival of the Note 3 first started heating up after execs at Samsung sent out media invitations to their Unpacked event on Sept. 4 in Berlin. It comes right before the IFA electronics conference and a Note 3 reveal was hinted at with the phrase "Note The Date" written right on the front of the invitation. Chances are, however, that what you are hearing now about the Note 3 will likely be what is revealed.
"We don't expect there to be any surprises in regards to the Galaxy Note 3. Expect many of the features we've heard to be on board the device when it arrives. Expect there to be new S Pen related software. Expect it to arrive for many carriers," writes Adam Mills for gottabemobile.com.
