Colombian journalist and ex-lover of Pablo Escobar Virginia Vallejo wants her story to be told.

In collaboration with cinema group that's tied with Javier Bardem, Vallejo wants to share her life with the moviegoing public.

Vallejo currently lives in the United States under protection, and she reveals she has met with Bardem for the possible movie.

"He knows that he's the perfect person to play Escobar," she said, according to El Comercio.

She did confirm that there is a plan in action with people associated with Bardem, and there is also interest from a television channel for her story.

"It's my story before Pablo and after Escobar," she said. "I don't know, but I think with time two important actresses will play the role. I can't give their names at the time."

The 65-year-old said she is no longer famous but that she will become a legend with her story being told even after her death.

In 2007, she published her memoir, "Loving Pablo, Hating Escobar."

Meanwhile, Netflix is working on its Pablo Escobar Drama, "Narcos."

The movie streaming company has ordered 10 episodes of the show. Wagner Moura, of "Elite Squad," will star as Escobar. The show will follow the life and death of Escobar. He was part of the Medellin Cartel, which was once one of the most violent, the Hollywood Reporter noted.

Jose Padilha will be the director, and it will be written by Chris Brancato. Eric Newman will co-produce along with Padilha.

Padilha recently added Boyd Holbrook from "Hatfields & McCoys."

Holbrook will be Steve Murphy, a DEA agent from West Virginia who is sent to Colombia. His mission is to capture and eventually kill Escobar. This happens in the late '80s and early '90s.

The show will debut next year.
