13-Year-Old American Boy Killed by Mexican Gunmen in a Gruesome Ambush
While traveling home to the United States of America after a vacation in Mexico, a thirteen-year-old boy was killed after being shot by gunmen who are suspected to be associated with a drug cartel in the country.
The boy was accompanied by her mother who is 42 years old, his father who is 48 years old, and a boy who is 10 years old. On their way to the US, they were shot. They were riding a minivan towards the Reynosa-Nuevo Laredo Highway in Los Arcos in the country of Mexico on Saturday last week.
The Reynosa-Nuevo Laredo Highway in Los Arcos is an area that links Mier City with Nueva Ciudad Guerrero. It is across the US-Mexican border near Texas' Falcon Heights.
According to the report of the New York Post, it was believed that they had visited their relatives in the San Luis Potosi state.
According to the office of the attorney general in the Tamaulipas state, the boy who died from the incident was a US citizen his parents were also citizens of the United States of America. The security officers who investigated the place if the incident had found 3 cars with noticeable car crash impacts.
One of the cars that were found by the security officers of the country had identified a plate number belonging to the Tamaulipas state. The two other cars contain plates from Oklahoma. The two cars were found with multiple bullet holes on its windshield.
Many reports on local news had announced that the name of the thirteen-year-old victim to the incident was Oscar Castillo López. His parents, José Silva Mendoza and Juanita Castillo López were injured from the incident/
According to a new report by El Diario, the suspects were drug traffickers who are associated with the Cártel del Noreste.
The motive for the attack is yet to be uncovered.
The attackers were believed to have hit the Chevrolet SUV that the family was riding. They refused to stop. A relative also rode with the family in the SUV. The relative did not attain any injury from the event.
The SUV was forced to pull-over, the kid and his parents were shot by the armed men. This ended the life of the kid.
The attackers of the family had fled the scene of the crime with another van.
The kid and his parents were immediately brought to a medical center in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon. Aside from the thirteen-year-old son, the parents and their relatives were reported to be in stable condition.
The location where the incident had occurred was declared as a high-risk zone. The area is run by criminal organizations including the Zetas and the Gulf Cartel.
The attack on the kid, his parents, and relative who are citizens of the United States of America was a similar incident that occurred approximately two months ago where nine minors and women who belonged to an American Mormon family were attacked and killed in the northern part of the Sonora state in the country of Mexico.
