Successful Artists You May Not Know Were Latinos
There are a lot of successful Latino Music artists in the United State of America. They had taken the country and the world by storm. Some are not even known to have Latino heritage.
The internet is filled with articles that list successful Latino singers and their stories. These artists had significantly contributed to how the people of the country and the world see the Latino community.
The following are some of the famous singers that you may not know to have Latino heritage:
1. Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez, former Disney child star, had recently piloted her album called Revival. She had shown dominance in the radio media for the year 2019 with her two new songs called 'Good For You' and 'Same Old Love'. She is a Mexican-American and is one of the most successful Latino singers in the country. She was named after Selena Quintanilla who was dubbed as the Mexican-American Madonna. Quintanilla died at the peak of her career in the hands of a fan.
2. Becky G
Becky G's famous for her song entitles 'Shower'. She was also the singer of 'Can't Stop Dancin' which garnered a minimum of 65 million views on YouTube.
Proud for her Mexican heritage, she was the singer of the song called We are Mexico. This was a song created to respond to the issues of Donald Trump towards the immigrants of the country.
3. Demi Lovato
The singer of 'Confident', Demi Lovato had recently introduced a new hit song and a new look. She is one of the successful Latin artists in the US and the world. Despite not frequently singing in Spanish, she is proud of her Mexican origin.
In an interview in the past, Demi Lovato shared that when she was a kid, she did not appreciate her Mexican-American heritage. However, as she got older, she appreciates her Mexican heritage and is proud of her every curve.
4. Pitbull
Pitbull is the famous singer of the song 'Time of Our Lives' and collaboration with Cris Brown of the song 'Fun'. Pitbull had been joining other Latino singers in many music charts for years. He is proud of his Latino heritage and is not afraid to showcase his Cuban origins to his fans and the world.
5. Prince Royce
As a new and rising star in the United States, his songs 'Stuck on a feeling' and 'Back it Up' had taken a relevant number of Latino supporters in the country. He had featured another Latino artist, Jennifer Lopez to sing 'Back it Up'. He is proudly sharing his Dominican heritage to the US with his music and he is making it to the top.
6. Bruno Mars
Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk' which he sang in collaboration with Mark Ronson had made it on multiple music charts in the world. His real name is Peter Hernandez. He got his talents and genes from his father with a Puerto Rican background.
According to a statement given by Bruno Mars during an interview, he changed his last name from Hernandez to Mars to change the stereotypes given to those with Latino heritage to just sing Spanish songs and create a sexy image like that of Enrique's.
