Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U & 3DS Rumors, Trailer, Leaks: Demos Available in Select Best Buy Stores Next Week
Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. 4 is undoubtedly one of the most high-profile games to be featured next week during the E3 conference in Los Angeles. Super Smash Bros. 4 for the 3DS is coming this summer as well, while the game will be available this coming winter for the Wii U.
Demos of Super Smash Bros. 4 will be available nationwide starting next week at select Best Buy stores as a part of Nintendo's non-conventional approach to marketing the game at E3. This will also allow fans to get ahold of the game before it is finally released.
According to Britton Peele of The Dallas Morning News, Texas has eight branches of Best Buy stores that will receive the demo. If you live in Dallas, you can check out the following places for the demo:
- 4255 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Farmers Branch
- 200 Lincoln Sq, North Arlington
- 1900 Market Place Blvd, North Irving
A rare, collectible Super Smash Bros. gold coin is also being given to the first 70 customers who pre-order either version of the game at the demo event. A $5 Best Buy gift certificate is also given when the game is picked up on its release date.
The offer will be a superb move for the 3DS version and particularly so for the Wii U. Sales of the 3DS are not that impressive and it has not matched up to Nintendo's expectations. Allowing fans to have a taste of the game before it is released might give it the boost in popularity it needs to increase sales.
The company has not issued any press release regarding the E3 conference so far, but demos and tournaments involving the Super Smash Bros. game will be conducted on the following dates:
- Wednesday, June 11 - 4:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 14 - 12:00 noon - 5:00 p.m.
Participants will also get to play Mario Golf: World Tour or Kirby: Triple Deluxe with other fans if they bring their Nintendo 2DS or 3DS system.
