How To Build Good Client Relationships
How To Build Good Client Relationships

When you're in business, the relationship you have with clients is of utmost importance. This doesn't just happen, it's something that takes time and hard work. In this article, we give you tips for building and maintaining good client relationships.

1. Make your communication super efficient

What value has a partner that can't be reached or takes forever to answer? Not a lot ... Clients value good, fast and efficient communication. Of course, communication with clients shouldn't take up all hours of the day, but if you can show that you can often solve issues fast, that will help a lot for your client relationship.

    2. Hold face-to-face meetings/evaluations

We know, anno 2020 it's super easy to hold all meetings online with Google Hangouts, Skype and other tools. They're really handy and no one loses time to commute. Nevertheless, for a good relationship, the importance of a face-to-face meeting every now and then can't be underestimated. You can shake hands, have a good conversation and hold an in-depth evaluation.

      3. Celebrate with personalized/promotional gifts

Has a client been with your company for a certain time? Have you reached a milestone together? There are many reasons you can offer your client a personalized gift. If you put some effort into this and think through what your client likes, this can be really appreciated and help with the client relationship. We recommend giving something personal for the client and adding a fun promotional gift from your company. There are tons of products you can get personally printed (Dutch: bedrukken) with logos, taglines, and images. It doesn't have to be a pen - you can, for instance, choose funky sunglasses (Dutch: zonnebrillen), mugs (Dutch: mokken), backpacks (Dutch: rugzakken) and fans (Dutch: waaiers).

        4. Exceed the expectations

Something clients really appreciate, is when you deliver something that's even better than their expectations. Try to always give your absolute best, to deliver the best possible quality. And remember: underpromising and overdelivering will make clients happy!

Good luck, we hope you can build super-strong client relationships!
