Expats consider this small town as a haven. Cotacachi is located just 2 hours from the capital city, Quito. The village is also known for its handcrafted leather products.

4. Sucre, Bolivia

This is a great place to visit and stay at a low-cost. This is one of the cities in South America where you can live every month by spending not more than $800 and you can take other trips to other areas in the city. This is also a good place for those who are nature lover because you will come across with green spaces and flower-filled oasis.

5. Salta, Argentina

This place is a great touchdown for a one year stay or more. If you want to feel living in a small town, then this is the best place for you.
