It is globally known that most of the goods in the United States of America originates abroad. Tariff issues could affect international trade, says a recent article. This can significantly affect the major trade partners of the US such as Mexico.

Here are some products used in the United States that came from Mexico:

Jumpsuits from NASA

The jumpsuits used in NASA are made in Mexico. Additionally, all of the clothing used by the scientist at NASA and space explorers are made in Mexico.

Grupo Alsico Promex, a Mexican firm, manufactures the specialized clothing used by international chemical laboratories for handling high-tech materials and equipment.

The Fender Stratocaster Guitars

The Fender Stratocaster guitars are both manufactured in the United States and made in Mexico. There is a belief by many fans of the brand saying the United States version is more superior than the ones made in Mexico. This is one of the reasons why the US-made Fender Stratocaster guitars are priced higher than those made in Mexico. However, higher tariffs for imports will increase the price of the Mexican-imported Fender Stratocaster guitars.  

Avocados and Other Fruits and Vegetables

The avocado is Mexico's unofficial fruit are also grown in the southern parts of the United States.

In 2018, Mexico reported a total of $5 billion imports of fruits and nuts and $7 billion worth of vegetables to the United States.

Some of the fruits and vegetables imported to the United States from Mexico are squash, beans, mango, bananas, tomatoes, corn, and pineapples. A change in tariffs will also affect the US prices of this product. 

Televisions and Other Electronic Devices

Though Asia is famous for being the headquarters of major electronics companies. However, these Asian companies' electronic products are being assembled in Mexico. Tijuana had become a center for electrical manufacturing. In 2018, it had made $37 billion exports of these products. In the city lies a Center for Digital Research and Technological Development by Samsung. Furthermore, Vizio's manufacturing had been built in Mexican territory since 2015.

Precious Substances Such as Gems and Metals

Upon the arrival of Spaniards in Mexico, they immediately tried to excavate the precious gems and metals from its lands. Emeralds, gold, silver, quarts, and fire opals were mined by them. These precious metals are currently being shipped worldwide for jewelry making.

Tequila

Tequila is a native drink in Mexico. The drink has a protected designation of origin from 40 nations in the world. It means these nations only accept tequilas made in Mexico and by approved distilleries.
