Basing from His Own Country's Experience with Combating the Spread of the Deadly Virus

Speedy and accurate testing for the coronavirus, including the sufficiency of personal protective equipment for medical workers are the most effective in controlling and preventing the spread of the deadly coronavirus, says Jack Ma. He based this statement from observation of his country's fight with COVID-19.

He believes that the key to winning over the virus is the elimination of resource constraints, sharing information, and hard-earned lessons from the novel coronavirus epidemic.

Statistics of the Coronavirus Pandemic

The deadly novel coronavirus was discovered in Wuhan, a city in mainland China. It was first identified in December last year. The lethal virus had already infected at least 128,000 people from different parts of the world. Also, 4,700 had already lost the fight with the virus, with the majority of the deaths occurring in mainland China.

In the United States of America, there are at least 1,676 cases. The total deaths caused by the new coronavirus illness is 40. 31 of the 40 are in the state of Washington while there were four deaths in California, two in Florida, one in South Dakota, one in New Jersey, and one in Georgia.
