Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt, better known as Ben Affleck---who is also better known as Batman and Matt Damon's best friend--- has been riddled with numerous controversy since his first foray into sobriety in 2001.

Affleck, one of Hollywood's biggest actors, had previously opened up about his alcohol addiction which eventually led to the end of his marriage to actress Jennifer Garner. The former couple, who met in 2004 and married the year after, announced their split in 2015.

Both are parents to three children--- their eldest Violet, second daughter Seraphina, and youngest Samuel. The stars finalized their divorce in 2018.

Now, it seems Ben Affleck has found another shot at love with 31-year-old Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas.

Relationship Timeline

November 2019

Affleck and de Armas were cast in the upcoming psychological thriller Deep Water directed by Adrian Lyne. The story is based on a novel of the same name written by Patricia Highsmith and will revolve around a well-to-do husband and his wife playing mind games against one another, leading to the death of those around them.

Filming began on November 4, 2019, in New Orleans and wrapped on February 7, 2020.

February 2020


In an interview with Good Morning America, Affleck talked about his desire for a healthy relationship as he opened up about his difficult journey to sobriety. He also talked about his divorce with Jennifer Garner and how it impacted his life.

He said he hopes to see himself in a happy and sober state five years in the future, adding he wants to be part of a "happy, stable relationship."

March 8, 2020

The pair was caught enjoying a getaway vacation in Havana, Cuba. Multiple media outlets claimed both actors looked happy and stunning.  Fans also published photos of the two exploring the city together and shopping at Clandestina.  An onlooker reportedly overheard the couple speaking in Spanish, a language the Accountant superstar is fluent in.

Affleck and de Armas were photographed enjoying an intimate moment on a beach in Costa Rica.

The pair were seen wrapped around each other as they took a romantic stroll by the shore. Ana eventually posted the photos on her official Instagram account days later.

Who is Ana de Armas?

 
Ana de Armas is one of Hollywood's rising stars. She entered the Spanish entertainment industry when she was just 16. Her first role was in Manuel Guttierrez Aragon's romantic drama Una rosa de Francia in 2006.

She rose to prominence after the drama was released, receiving numerous offers from casting directors. She became a part of several TV series from 2007 to 2011.

She moved to LA in 2014 and went on to star in War Dogs (Iz, 2016) and Bladerunner 2049 (Joi, 2017).

She recently starred as Marta Cabrera in the hit mystery film Knives Out alongside Daniel Craig (Benoit Blanc), Chris Evans (Ransom Drysdale) and Jamie Lee Curtis (Linda Drysdale).
